Squares in Squares

︎Overview: Square in Squares is a short, looping motion graphic piece about the repetition and mundane realities of online learning. Months deep into online learning I came to the realization my life had narrowed down to a series of screens; the deeper I looked the more squares in squares I found. Nothing pictured is based on any specific person or class, but the general realities that inevitably come with online instruction.

︎Objectives:

• Expand on my motion graphic skills
• Manage a personal project on a no deadline timeline 
• Convey the emotional feeling of an online class

︎Story Board: The project was story boarded to expand upon the original idea prior to when it was considered as a motion design project. This series was then eventually used as a basis for a digital story board.

︎Finalizing: Once a motion graphics approach was decided upon the original storyboard was developed into 5 style frames which were refined and prepped to be imported into After Effects. Once in After Effects the animation and sound effects were added.
